Job summary

Airbus Crisa in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) seeks an Industrialization Test Area Engineer to define, specify, deploy and support new industrial test means (climatic/vacuum chambers and shakers) and to lead continuous improvements in existing test assets.

You will work with LabVIEW, PLCs, HMIs and distributed I/O, support test campaigns (vibration, vacuum, thermal), perform preventive/corrective maintenance, and collaborate across teams to deliver safe, reliable space electronics.

Qualifications

• Higher Education (Grade or Master) related to Industrial, Electronic, or Aeronautic Engineering.
• At least 5 years experience leading Industrialization / Improvement Projects in Test Areas (Production and Test Systems, Lean, MES).
• Experience with Vacuum systems, Climatic, Thermal chambers and Shakers maintenance and control.
• Digital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators).
• English Language proficiency.
• Proactive, well organized, autonomous and with clear Team Work value.
• Continuous improvement orientation.
• Customer support approach, including Openness and Flexibility.
• Leader and booster for change management.
• Keen interest in Space Business.

Responsibilities

• Define, specify, buy, deploy and support for new Industrial Test means according to customers' requirements and ergonomics standards.
• Lead continuous improvement of the existing Test means, increasing automatization and applying best practices (Quality, Cost, Time).
• Manage dedicated software (e.g., LabVIEW).
• Manage automation, PLCs programming, HMIs, distributed systems and various communication protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, MOD-BUS, EtherCAT).
• Program autonomous controls and remote controls.
• Provide shop floor support and troubleshooting.
• Define and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plan for Test equipment.
• Support customers during vibration, vacuum and thermal test campaigns with technical assessments.

A position of Industrialization Test Area Engineer is now open at Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area). In our industrialization department, our mission is guarantee the technical / digital means needed to execute manufacturing and tests processes for Space Electronic equipment with excellent performance. Task and accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Define, specify, buy, deploy and support for new Industrial Test means (Climatic/ vacuum test chambers and shakers) according to customers requirement and ergonomics standards.
• Lead continuous improvement of the existing Test means, implementing best practices according to Quality, Cost and Time, mainly increasing its automatization approach.
• Managing dedicated software (f.i. LabView),
• Managing automatisms, PLCs programming, HMIs, distributed systems, I/O controls and different communication protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, MOD-BUS, EtherCAT, etc.),
• Programming autonomous controls (programmed relays, thermal control modules,etc.).
• Programming remote controls.
• Support and troubleshooting in the shop floor
• Define and execute Preventive and Corrective maintenance plan of Test equipment.
• Provide support to customer (projects) during Vibration, Vacuum and Thermal test campaigns, including technical assessment and contributing actively to find adequate solutions.

Required skills and experience

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Higher Education (Grade or Master) related to Industrial, Electronic, or Aeronautic Engineering
• At least 5 years experienced leading Industrialization / Improvement Projects in Test Areas (Production and Test Sytems, Lean, MES..)
• Previous experience with Vacuum systems, Climatic, Thermal chambers and Shakers maintenance and control.
• Digital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators)
• Electronic manufacturing and Test processes knowledge will be valued positively
• English Language proficiency
• Proactive, well organized, autonomous and with clear Team Work value
