Flowserve in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Spain, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage tactical sourcing events driven by daily MRP signals. You will own the end-to-end RFQ/RFP process, select suppliers based on safety, quality, delivery & cost, and negotiate through multi-round bidding to improve margins.
You will coordinate with the ERP to release POs after final prices. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supply chain and 1+ year in sourcing, with strong negotiation, analytical, and MS Office
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing tactical sourcing events that are received as part of the daily MRP signals. The events will be supporting actual customer/stock orders and therefore time is of the essence. The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete end-to-end RFQ/RFP process and to obtain the best delivery conditions possible. For new parts, this is done by selecting the most appropriate supplier for the intended scope based on safety, quality, delivery & cost parameters and aligned with the global category strategy. For existing parts that require requoting, this is done through multi-round negotiations with the supplier to obtain the best possible price. Typically lead time will have already been pre-defined.
Execute sourcing events on behalf of the BU/sites, with cost, quality and lead time being the primary objectives. Sourcing events are to be processed within the Indigo Sourcing tool. Indigo Sourcing is to be used for all MRP demand signal items. The Sourcing specialist should follow the guidance and priorities provided by Indigo Sourcing as it pertains to items such as GMS, OSMI alternatives and Raving Fan orders. Items in the "Past Due" and "In Compression" tabs should also be given priority as they will inherently be late to need by and will require expediting effort further down the process. Wherever possible, the Sourcing Specialist should use the Purchase Requisition Aggregation (bundling) functionality to drive spend consolidation and cost optimisation. This functionality may also be required in some cases to meet a minimum supplier $ threshold. Supplier selection/deselection decisions should be made prioritizing suppliers that are strategic and leverage segmentation wherever possible. The Sourcing Specialist must ensure that all required latest revision documentation is attached to the event. This includes drawings, material, quality and process specifications, ITP’s, etc originating from approved sources. Initial quotes received from suppliers should not be accepted as final price. Prices must be negotiated aggressively through multi-round bidding to support margin expansion. Lead time, OTD and capacity should also be taken into consideration. Once the final price has been negotiated, the Purchase Order should be released immediately after within the ERP Operate in full compliance with all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role.
