Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Software Project Management Advisor to drive the successful delivery of Cordant Asset Performance Management software projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage cloud-based deployments, and ensure alignment with contractual commitments and customer expectations.

The role requires 5+ years in software project management, fluency in English and Spanish, and experience with industrial software delivery for energy/utilities sectors.

Responsibilities

Identify risks and devise mitigation plans; manage scope and changes.
Own revenue recognition, invoicing milestones, budgeting and margins.
Provide regular updates to customers and leadership; escalate risks early.

As a Software Project Management Advisor , you will lead the successful execution of Baker Hughes Cordant™ Asset Performance Management (APM) software projects, including Cordant™ Asset Health, Cordant™ Asset Strategy, and Cordant™ Process Optimization solutions.

You will work closely with customers, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations and contractual commitments. This role combines project management expertise with experience in digital transformation, cloud technologies, industrial software deployments, and customer engagement.

As a Software Project Management Advisor, you will be responsible for:

Developing project execution plans, implementation roadmaps, and delivery strategies.
Defining project objectives, milestones, schedules, and resource requirements.
Leading project execution activities while ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and customer expectations.
Acting as the primary interface between customers, project teams, and business stakeholders.
Collaborating with customer IT, Digital Transformation, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Leading and coordinating cross-functional and global project delivery teams.
Promoting collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across all project participants.
Managing projects involving cloud-based architectures and digital transformation initiatives.
Coordinating with customer IT teams regarding cybersecurity, infrastructure, integrations, data governance, and cloud deployment requirements.
Supporting cloud migration and software modernization initiatives where applicable.
Identifying project risks and developing mitigation plans.
Managing project scope, timelines, resources, contractual changes, and change management activities.
Ensuring project changes are appropriately documented, reviewed, approved, and communicated.
Owning project financial performance, including: Revenue recognition Invoicing milestones Cost management Change orders Forecasting Margin management
Monitoring project budgets and financial KPIs throughout execution.
Tracking project performance against schedules, budgets, delivery targets, and risk plans.
Providing regular project updates to customers, leadership teams, and stakeholders.
Escalating risks and issues proactively to support successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Project Management, Digital Transformation, or Industrial Software Delivery.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Proven experience leading software implementation projects for industrial, energy, utilities, or process industry customers.
Experience managing customer-facing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of customer IT environments, enterprise software deployments, and digital transformation programs.
Experience delivering Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions is highly desirable.
Experience working with utilities, national energy companies, oil & gas operators, power generation organizations, or renewable energy companies.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud-based architectures.
Understanding of industrial digitalization, reliability engineering, asset management, and predictive maintenance concepts.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent Project Management certification.
Experience working with SaaS platforms, enterprise software, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Industrial IoT solutions.
