Bystronic Software is building the digital future of sheet metal processing. You will join agile, multidisciplinary teams to design, implement and evolve robust software that digitizes manufacturing workflows from quote to delivery.

The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining HMI applications for laser cutting systems, with collaboration across PL C, automation and mechanical engineering, ensuring seamless integration and scalable software solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Professional software development experience, ideally in product-oriented environments.
• Experience in agile teams and contributing to engineering standards.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain HMI applications for laser cutting systems and automation solutions.
• Implement intuitive user interfaces to control and monitor machine processes.
• Collaborate with PLC, motion control, automation and mechanical teams for seamless integration.
• Contribute to software architectures supporting operation, diagnostics and workflows.
• Participate in architecture, performance and continuous improvement discussions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and domain experts to deliver impact.

In this role, you will join our Bystronic Software team. With our software solutions, developed specifically for the sheet metal processing industry, we enable companies to digitize their entire processes - from the initial quote to the final delivery.

Join Bystronic Software to build world‑class software solutions for manufacturing customers in the sheet metal industry. You will work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to design, implement and evolve robust software that helps digitize industrial production.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop and maintain HMI applications for laser cutting systems and industrial automation solutions.
• Implement intuitive and reliable user interfaces that enable operators to efficiently control and monitor machine and automation processes.
• Collaborate with PLC, motion control, automation and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between software and machine control systems
• Contribute to the design and evolution of software architectures supporting machine operation, diagnostics and production workflows.
• Participate in technical discussions around architecture, implementation, performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering and domain experts to deliver real impact for our customers.

Your education & experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Professional experience in software development, ideally in product-oriented environments.
• Experience working in agile teams and contributing to shared engineering standards.

What you need to succeed

• Strong programming skills, with special consideration for full‑stack experience in C#, .NET, WPF and React.
• Experience designing and developing Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) or industrial software applications.
• Ability to create clean, scalable and well‑structured software solutions.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues across software and machine systems.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Team spirit, ownership and willingness to continuously learn.
