A leading financial institution in Madrid is seeking a Software Backend Engineer to design and develop application components. You will contribute to production readiness and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have 5 years of relevant experience, strong Java skills, and familiarity with microservices and agile practices. Formación

At ING we are looking for a Software Backend Engineer to join ING. Your Role And Work Environment: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Backend Engineer to join ING.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test the code that shapes the components of the application, ensuring functionality, quality and performance.
• Deliver in Production a working software by applying best development practices, including documentation and parameters to reach goals. Support Production by analyzing and fixing bugs. Contribute to improving technical discipline by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• As an expert in the Backend area, contribute value on the technical layer while considering the rest of the stack as part of the Squad responsibilities.
• Major Responsibility Areas: Coding; Stories Refinement; Environments management; Release; Monitoring.

• Good coding skills on the Middleware layer: Java 8/11/17
• Spring (Boot, MVC, CORE, Security, Dependency Injection)
• Microservices: Hexagonal architecture; Patterns (Circuit Breaker, Api Gateway, Service Discovery); Feature Flags
• Design Patterns, SOLID, Clean Code, Software Craftsmanship
• Back End & DevOps awareness (understand the global architecture / infrastructure)
