Job summary

ING is seeking a Retail Lending Strategist to shape the future of Consumer Lending by translating customer insights into strategic initiatives. You will work across Finance, Risk, Pricing, Marketing and Technology to anticipate needs and identify opportunities that create value for customers and the business.

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, monitor performance, and lead efforts to drive data-based decisions in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, business management, strategy, consulting or analytics.
• Strong knowledge of banking, with experience in Consumer Lending being highly valued.
• Experience working in agile and cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Define the future of Consumer Loans and anticipate evolving customer financing needs.
• Monitor and interpret the key performance drivers of the loans business; inform management decisions with insights.

Your role and work environment

In the Consumer Lending Tribe, we are looking for a Retail Lending Strategist who combines customer centricity, strategic vision and analytical excellence to identify opportunities, influence decisions and create meaningful business impact.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of Consumer Lending, combining deep customer understanding, business strategy and lending expertise. Working across multiple disciplines, including Finance, Risk, Pricing, Marketing and Technology, you will anticipate customer needs, identify emerging opportunities and translate insights into initiatives that create value for both customers and the business.

Your key responsibilities

• Business Strategy & Customer Value : Help define the future of Consumer Loans. Anticipate evolving customer financing needs and identify opportunities to create value for both customers and the business. Translate customer, market and business insights into strategic priorities and initiatives. Assess opportunities through business cases and fact-based recommendations.
• Commercial Performance Management: Steer business performance. Monitor and interpret the key performance drivers of the loans business. Identify risks, opportunities and emerging trends through data and analysis. Support management decisions through clear insights, forecasts and recommendations.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Build alignment and influence decisions across the organization. Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders' teams (Risk, Finance, Pricing, Data, Marketing, Technology, etc...). Challenge assumptions and drive discussions through a strong analytical and business mindset.

Education

Master or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, business management, strategy, consulting or analytics.

• Experience working in agile and cross-functional environments.
