Job summary

Zurich Insurance Group, based in Barcelona, invites applications for a Software Asset Management Specialist - Governance. The role focuses on defining and evolving the SAM Governance framework, including policies, standards and KPI-driven dashboards.

You’ll provide strategic SAM guidance for software investments and ensure data integrity across assets, entitlements, consumption and financials. As part of Zurich's Technology Delivery Center, you’ll collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, IT

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Software Asset Management within large enterprise IT environments.
• Hands-on license position calculations for at least one Tier 1 or Tier 2 vendor (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP).
• Experience with SAM tools (ideally Flexera One) and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience managing SAM data quality, dashboards and reporting; practical AI/automation adoption in SAM.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the SAM Governance framework (policies, standards, processes, ownership, controls).
• Establish governance mechanisms for software cost, risk, compliance and value.
• Provide strategic SAM advice for software investments, renewals and vendor relationships.
• Own SAM governance data framework ensuring data quality and transparency for decision making.
