Wärtsilä is seeking a Skipper to join our team in Valencia, Spain. This permanent role requires commanding the designated vessel, ensuring safety, and coordinating with diving teams as needed.

Responsibilities include vessel maneuvers, proactive maintenance, and supporting the chief engineer. Spanish as a native language and basic maritime English are required, with relevant skipper certificates accepted.

Formación

• Basic maritime English proficiency required.
• Spanish native speaker with适 comfortable communication.
• Certificates for boarding and vessel operation must be current.

Responsabilidades

• Exercise command of the vessel designated to you.
• Cooperate with diving teams as needed.
• Conduct port and sea maneuvers with the assigned vessel.
• Ensure safety on board and make decisions based on sea state.
• Maintain the vessel proactively and reactively.
• Maintain bridge and other vessel areas (engine excluded).
• Support the chief engineer and other crew as required.
• Transfer vessels between ports on Spain's east coast, especially Valencia.

Skipper

We are looking for a Skipper to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent, preferred location Valencia, Spain.

Responsibilities

• Exercise command of the vessel on which you are designated.
• Cooperate as necessary with diving teams.
• Responsible for maneuvers in port and at sea with any necessary vessel for the required activity.
• Responsible for safety on the vessel, making decisions based on the state of the sea or the vessel itself.
• Responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance of the vessel.
• Responsible for maintenance of the bridge and the rest of the vessel (except the engine) both reactive and proactive.
• Support to the chief engineer or other crew members if necessary.
• Carry out transfers of vessels between ports on the Spanish east coast, especially Valencia.

Qualifications

• Medical recognition of ISM in force.
• All certificates necessary for boarding.
• Port skipper title (Skipper and Chief Engineer simultaneously on boats up to 100 GT, issued by Spain).
• Coastal skipper or higher.
• Basic level of maritime English.
• Native Spanish speaker.
