Wärtsilä Corporation is seeking a qualified maritime professional for a permanent position based in Valencia, Spain. The role requires command of designated vessels, coordination with divers, and safe navigation in port and at sea to support ongoing operations.

Formación

• Medical recognition of ISM in force.
• All certificates necessary for boarding.
• Port skipper title (Spain).
• Coastal skipper or higher.
• Basic level of maritime English.
• Native Spanish speaker.

Responsabilidades

• Exercise command of the vessel on which you are designated.
• Coordinate with diving teams as necessary.
• Responsible for maneuvers in port and at sea with any necessary vessel for the realization of the required activity.
• Responsible for safety on the vessel, making decisions based on the state of the sea or the vessel itself.
• Responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of the vessel.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the bridge and the rest of the vessel (except the engine) both reactive and proactive.
• Support to the chief engineer or other crew members if necessary.
• Carry out transfers of our vessels between ports on the Spanish east coast, especially Valencia.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Valencia, Spain.

• Responsible for maneuvers in port and at sea with any necessary vessel for the realization of the required activity.
• Responsible for safety on the vessel, making decisions based on the state of the sea or the vessel itself.
• Responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of the vessel.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the bridge and the rest of the vessel (except the engine) both reactive and proactive.
• Support to the chief engineer or other crew members if necessary.
• Carry out transfers of our vessels between ports on the Spanish east coast, especially Valencia.

Qualifications

• Medical recognition of ism in force.
• All certificates necessary for boarding.
• Port skipper title (Skipper and Chief engineer simultaneously on boats up to 100 GT, issued by Spain).
• Coastal skipper or higher.
• Basic level of maritime English.
• Native Spanish speaker.
