Job summary

Trouw Nutrition in Mérida, Spain, is seeking a Production Operator to support safe, efficient production on the line. You will perform discharge, load, transport, cleaning and labeling tasks, under supervision, and contribute to quality and compliance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial production environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform discharge, load, transport and cleaning tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Executes operational activities such as discharge, load, transport, clean, label and operate equipment to maintain safe and efficient production processes.
• Periodically inspects and carries out small maintenance tasks on production equipment and reports defects.
• Logs data and information on production orders and activities to ensure complete administration and insight into orders.
• Signals deviations and suggests improvements to supervisor to optimize processes, tools and systems.
• Works in compliance with safety, environmental and quality regulations and promotes SHEQ awareness.
• Ensures work area is clean and safe, maintaining production line appearance and site conditions.

Maintenance & Repair Tasks

• Periodically inspects and executes small maintenance tasks on the production equipment, signalling defects and deficiencies.
• If applicable and appropriate, conducts minor repair work

Reporting

• Logs data and information on production orders and activities in the appropriate logbooks / systems in order to have a complete administration and insight in the state and progress of production orders

Continuous Improvement

• Signals deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems and flags opportunities for improvement with supervisor, in order to continuously optimize and improve operational (work) processes, tools and systems.

Safety & Compliance

• Works in compliance with all relevant (personal as well as food) safety, environmental and quality regulations and procedures, as well as operational standards
• Promotes awareness on SHEQ, signals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations

Good Housekeeping

• Ensures the work area is left clean and in a safe working condition and that there are no hazardous situations. Maintains the appearance of the production line(s), working area(s) and production site
