Descripción del empleo

About The Company

Utopia is an ultra‑luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand creating a global ecosystem of properties and experiences.

We develop private villa retreats in beautiful locations around the world, each with high‑end service. Utopia also offers a wider ecosystem of leisure experiences and services available both to those staying on property and to external visitors.

Utopia designs and builds its properties in‑house. Our team works across the full journey: from concept and architecture to construction, interiors, landscape, guest experience, and long‑term operation. For architects and designers, this means working on properties from the ground up, with the ability to influence how each place is planned, built, and experienced. For hospitality professionals, it means joining a brand where service is personal, attentive, and built around each guest’s stay.

We’re a young, ambitious team with high standards and a hands‑on approach. We value strong ideas, practical thinking, attention to detail, and people who are ready to take responsibility for their part of the work. If you’re interested in architecture, design, hospitality, or guest experience, we invite you to grow with Utopia.

About The Role

We’re looking for a capable and hands‑on Jr. Site Admin Engineer to support our on‑ground team on the construction of high‑end luxury accommodation projects in Barcelona, Spain. If you're not already based there, relocation will be necessary.

In this role, you’ll be taking the lead with daily reporting, collecting all necessary data to prepare such reports, inclusive of all site inspections performed by our Site Engineers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that your particular project is up‑to‑date with reporting daily progress and record keeping of all documentation (daily reports / site inspections / RFIs / CVIs / non‑conformance reports / HSE notices / others).

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail‑oriented, and confident in collaborating with site teams — someone knowledgeable of the construction industry and processes to ensure independence from the site engineers, but collaborating with them.

What You Will Do
  • Daily reporting: Fill in daily reports data into the software, collecting all necessary data from the Site Engineers (general information / weather conditions / personnel & equipment / work completed / materials & deliveries / inspections / safety / issues & delays).
  • Documentation Management: Organizing technical documentation, project plans, and reports.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensuring projects adhere to safety, industry, and company standards.
  • Process Improvement: Analyzing operational problems to improve efficiency.
  • Leadership Support: Step in for the Site Engineer when necessary, attending high‑level meetings and contributing to key strategic decisions.
Operations And Management
  • Thorough Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress reports, ensuring all changes and variations are tracked according to corporate routine.
  • Inspections: Keep record of all regular site inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and make sure all corrective actions are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in construction site roles (e.g. Inspector, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Site Supervisor).
  • Completed at least 2 full‑cycle projects, ideally in tourist regions.
  • Proven track record in luxury villa or high‑end residential construction.
  • Proficiency in construction software and tools (Procore is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices essential to successful delivery.
  • Proficiency in English is required for communication with our international‑based management team and some site teams.
What We Can Offer You
  • Full‑time, on‑site role in Barcelona, Spain.
  • Opportunity to work on a landmark luxury hospitality project from construction through delivery.
  • Collaboration within a professional, international, multidisciplinary team.

By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed, and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy.
