ATG Europe seeks a Service Facilities Engineer to support Galileo Ground Segment developments from Madrid, Spain. The role involves working on security-sensitive areas and coordinating across EU sites for system reviews and documentation handovers.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Engineering with 6+ years’ relevant experience, expertise in ISO27001/27002, and fluency in English, with EU work eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare technical specifications for ground segment evolutions.
• Support Contracting Authority in analyzing industry proposals and oversight of SOW.
• Oversee industry compliance to the Statement of Work and development plans.
• Assess performance of evolutions through KPIs and deliverables, proposing improvements.
• Participate in System, Segment, Sub-System and components reviews to ensure compliance.
• Support CONOPS, SECOPS, design for operations and operator training activities.
• Ensure documentation for acceptance into operations and related waivers/deviations.

We are looking for a Service Facilities Engineer to support the Galileo Ground Segment (GSC) on behalf of and in support of our client for their location in Madrid, Spain.

The activities below will include frequent access to classified security areas and systems. They may entail meetings in the other client's premises in Europe, EC premises in Brussels, ESA premises in Noordwijk – ESTEC (The Netherlands) or other European centres, Galileo Control Centres in Fucino (Italy) and Oberpfaffenhoffen (Germany) or other space programme sites across the world (for a few tasks).

Note: the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

• Contribution to the preparation of the technical specifications;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the analysis of the Industry proposals relevant to GroundSegment evolutions and changes;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the oversight of industry compliance to the Statement of Work;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the oversight of the industrial development plans and associatedrisks, contributing to the development of the associated risk mitigation actions with industry;
• Contribution to the assessment of the performance of the Ground Segment evolutions from anengineering perspective, through the review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actionsand improvements to address issues and opportunities;
• Participation in the design, qualification and acceptance reviews at System, Segment, Sub-System and
• Components level to confirm the compliance of the design to the upper level requirements, thequalification status of new releases, the impact on the overall compliance tree and the status of the waivers and deviations and the availability of all the documentation necessary for acceptance intooperations;RIDs shall be raised and the Agency technically supported at the review panels/boards;
• Follow up of industrial activities related to operations engineering, including definition of CONOPS(Concept of Operations), SECOPS (Security of Operations), design for operations, human centereddesign, operators training and contributing to the Service Provision Requirements Document (SPRD)compliance monitoring;
• Follow up the industrial activities related to the System and Sub-system maintenance engineering withfocus on Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) including, but not limited to, Maintenance Concept, Packaging& Handling Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) requirements, Fault Detection Isolation and Recovery(FDIR) strategy, maintenance tools, maintainer training with focus on establishing the documentarybasis that will be input to the Operator/Service Provider;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the delivery and acceptance by industry of the EUSPA CustomerUndertakings supporting site or sub-system delivery or hand-over and acceptance;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the follow-up of the industrial development and AIV plans andassociated risks, contributing to the development of the associated risk mitigation actions with industry;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the management and oversight of the deployment activitiesconducted by the industry leading to the qualification and then up to Entry-into-Service;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the follow-up of the industrial activities related to the definitionand validation of the migration scenarios in support to the Entry-into-Service;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the management and oversight of the migration activitiesconducted between the qualification and the entry-into-service;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the management of the anomalies handling up to the finalizationof the migration activities/entry-into-service;
• Support to the Contracting Authority in the preparation of the hand-over data-package and coordinationwith the Service Provision Project team member to ensure proper hand over and acceptance by theOperator/Service Provider;
• Contribution to the Meetings relevant to the evaluation and approval of technical requirements (e.g.Engineering Board, Risk Management Board, Schedule Management Board, Technical Control Board,Change Control Board).

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or a relevant field;
• Bachelor’s Degree supported by solid experience can be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree;
• At least 6 years of relevant experience;
• Exposed to ISO27001 / 27002 certified environments and COMSEC information;

One or more of the fields of expertise are required:

• Security Governance and risk management;
• Security Audit and implementation;
• Service and facility management;
• Handling of classified documentation (EU, NATO);
• Security accreditation;
• Business development;
• ISO27001 audit experience is an asset;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
• Eligibility to work and live in the EU;
• Eligibility for EU Personal Security Clearance is mandatory.
