CETRA BASE is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support operational systems on the Galileo project in Madrid. The candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, particularly with Microsoft and Linux technologies.

This permanent position demands proficiency in handling incidents, performing health checks, and maintaining system continuity. Candidates must hold a relevant certification and have a B2 level of English.

Citizenship of a European Union state is required for security clearance.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
• Experience in space programmes is a plus.
• European Union citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide IT system administration support for operational systems.
• Handle incidents and requests effectively.
• Perform daily and weekly routine health checks.
• Provide daily reports on system status.
• Execute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance procedures.
• Participate in technical meetings.

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Adminsitrator to work on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.

Galileo is Europe's Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information.

CETRA BASE is currently looking for 2 experienced IT Systems Administrators.

Positions are based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France) and/or Madrid (Spain).

Tasks and Responsibilities

To provide IT system administration support for operational systems ensuring continuity and availability of services while supporting incident handling and operational team activitie. Those activities encompass:

• Handling of incidents and requests
• Performing daily and weekly routine health status checks
• Providing daily reports
• Executing Preventive Maintenance procedures
• Executing Corrective Maintenance procedures (e.g. faulty HW replacement)
• Participating in recurrent technical meetings

Essential qualifications and experience

We are looking for a Windows and/or Linux Systems Administrator with minimum 2 (two) years of hands‑on experience with at least 2 of the following fields:

• Microsoft technologies: MS Windows Domain (AD), MS Exchange, IIS, RDS, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Linux & Container Orchestration: Red Hat Linux, command line, kubernetes, ansible, rancher
• Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus / Grafana, OpenNMS, Nagios
• Storage & Backup: Longhorn, VEEAM
• Security & Networking: Firewall Management, IDS Management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Management, VPN Solutions, Antivirus Management
• Middleware & Application Servers: jBoss EAP

At least B2 level of English according to CEFR levels.

Experience in Space programmes

MCSA, MCSE or equivalente certification

Security

In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.

This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract and a very competitive salary package, according to his/her skills and experience.
