WLG in Torrejón de Ardoz, near Madrid, seeks a hands-on Configuration and Asset Manager to own the site's configuration database and keep it accurate as things change. You will update network diagrams and rack layouts, manage the mobile estate, and oversee software licences.

The role is on-site, full-time, with ITIL-aligned processes guiding daily tasks. You will also maintain the wider docs so engineers have current, reliable information to rely on in their work.

Qualifications

• Hands-on asset and configuration management in a service environment (ITIL).
• Proven ability to maintain accurate configuration records and docs.
• Strong Visio skills for IT drawings, diagrams and rack layouts.
• Experience with software licensing and compliance.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

Nobody notices a configuration database until it is wrong. Then everybody does.

You would own the record of what actually exists at a multinational defence communications site in Torrejon de Ardoz, just outside Madrid: the network diagrams, the rack layouts, the mobile estate and the software licences. On-site, full time, from early November.

What You Would Be Doing

• Building the configuration database for the site and keeping it accurate as things change, rather than accurate on the day it was written


• Drawing and revising the network diagrams and rack layouts that sit behind it, in Visio


• Holding the mobile estate: the lines, the handsets, who has what and what is dormant


• Acting as licence manager for the site - what is owned, what is deployed, what is due


• Keeping the wider documentation set current so the engineers who rely on it can
