Job summary

Win Systems is a leading technology company in the gaming and entertainment sector. Headquartered in Barcelona, we seek a Software Developer in our Gaming team to maintain, expand, and create all parts of our gaming software using C# and DirectX 11.

You will work on hardware drivers for embedded systems, slot machine software, and tools supporting development. The role offers a hybrid model with 1 day remote per week and close collaboration with QA and artists.

Qualifications

• : 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong expertise in C# and knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (SOLID, design patterns).
• Knowledge of client-server and peripheral communications.
• Experience with development tools on Windows (Visual Studio, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging games from concept to release.
• Build, extend, and optimize the proprietary game engine for performance.
• Prototype and evaluate new gameplay features and mechanics.
• Design and develop plugins and tools to streamline artist/designer workflows.
• Transform requirements into structured, maintainable code.
• Write game scripts and create storyboards for narratives and mechanics.
• Implement unit tests and validation processes for quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document technical issues with solutions.
• Collaborate with artists and developers to integrate gameplay elements.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Collaborate with QA to address bugs and performance issues.
• Communicate progress and feedback to stakeholders.
