Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Senior Application Tendering Engineer to strengthen our Spain-based Business Support team. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions across a wide range of customer projects.

In this role you will collaborate with sales, product managers and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate equipment selection, competitive pricing, and high-quality tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years tendering, application engineering or technical sales support in the water sector.
• Knowledge of industrial processes related to Sulzer equipment.
• English B2 or higher; Spanish/Portuguese market language skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions across projects and tenders.
• Support the sales process from lead generation through negotiation with technical and commercial input.
• Analyze customer requirements, perform equipment sizing calculations, and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Develop quotations and commercial offers using dedicated quotation and configuration tools.
• Coordinate with customers, sales teams, product managers and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate proposals.
• Complete technical documentation and customer data sheets for tender submissions.
• Support pricing activities, including non-standard solution proposals.
• Coordinate and monitor quotation activities for large and strategic projects.
