GitHub, in Spain, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Code Scanning Engine Quality team. You will work on CodeQL-powered analysis across GitHub.com and GHES, and help build internal tooling and CI pipelines to validate changes at scale.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality, secure code scanning features, shaping the product direction while ensuring reliability and excellent developer experience.

Formación

• 6+ years experience in software engineering with production code in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps, CI solutions, orchestration and automation frameworks such as Temporal.io.
• Experience building developer tools that automate software lifecycle, e.g. CI pipelines, release automation, offline evaluation tools, CLI tools, or IDE extensions.
• Machine learning and AI applied to understanding source code, specifically building systems that use LLMs to generate or reason about code.

Responsabilidades

• Production Operations: deliver CodeQL-powered analysis across all production environments (GitHub.com and GHES).
• Development Platforms: build and operate internal tooling and CI pipelines for CodeQL, enabling validation of changes at scale and safe releases.
