Job summary

Noloco is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to own features across frontend and backend, building AI-powered tools and scalable APIs. You’ll work on GraphQL, Node.js, React, and data models, delivering delightful UX and robust performance.

In a hybrid setup with Barcelona as a base, you’ll collaborate across product, design, growth, and engineering, shaping the future of our AI Co-Builder and our SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• Significant experience (4 years) as a full stack engineer on complex web apps.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills across Node.js and React.js.
• Experience designing clean, scalable APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• Experience building AI-powered agents, workflows, and UIs.
• Understanding of frontend performance, state management, and design systems.
• Product mindset with user-first thinking; comfortable shaping problems.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across backend services, GraphQL APIs, and React-based UI.
• Advance Noloco's AI Co-Builder using frontier-model improvements.
• Design reusable React components and design systems for the app builder.
• Scale backend systems and APIs to meet growing customer demand.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver polished user experiences.
• Improve analytics, observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical discussions to raise the bar.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building end-to-end features across our stack: backend services, GraphQL APIs, and React-based UI
• Advancing the capabilities of Nola, our AI Co-Builder, leveraging the latest improvements from frontier models
• Designing and improving reusable React components and design systems that power Noloco's app builder experience
• Scaling our backend systems and APIs to handle growing customer demand
• Collaborating with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, polished user experiences
• Improving analytics, observability, monitoring, and alerting across the stack
• Driving technical discussions and mentoring other engineers to raise the bar

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Adding new components or improving existing ones to the Noloco App Builder
• Adding more tools/logic to our AI Co-Builder so users can interact with the Noloco platform through chat, or MCP
• Extending our native data tables with new field types, UX improvements, and performance enhancements
• Building integrations with external data sources and APIs to open up new workflows
• Extending Noloco's workflows and automations to let customers connect and automate their tools
• Owning full-stack performance: optimizing queries and frontend rendering
• Monitoring and improving end-user experience from first click to final API call

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have:

• Significant experience (4 years) working as a full stack engineer on complex web applications
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills across Node.js and React.js
• Experience designing clean, scalable APIs (GraphQL experience a plus)
• Experience building and improving AI powered agents, workflows and user-experiences
• Solid understanding of frontend performance, state management, and design systems
• A product mindset --- you care about the user experience, not just shipping code
• Comfortable working without PM overhead; you want to help to shape the problem, not just implement a spec
• Experience at a startup or a company with a genuinely high engineering bar

Where You'll Work

Hybrid from our Barcelona office.

Our Engineering team is spread across Ireland and Spain, so we're remote-first but meet regularly in person, including at least one annual offsite. We're building out our engineering team across Barcelona and Ireland, and are open to either location.
