Job summary

UST España & Latam is seeking aSenior Software Architect to lead the end-to-end ownership of strategic Wealth Management platforms for a leading international financial institution. The role involves architecture evolution, modernization initiatives, and cloud transformation programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating incident management, performing health checks, ensuring security controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience supporting Front Office and/or Middle Office banking applications.
• Strong understanding of application support, ownership, and service management.
• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools.
• Integration technologies such as web services, messaging systems, and file transfer solutions.
• Database design, SQL development, query optimization, and log analysis.
• Git and source control management.
• Jira or similar ticketing platforms.
• Enterprise architecture principles and secure design practices.
• Hands-on experience with Java technologies and software development lifecycle processes.
• IDEs for development, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Strong Oracle Database and SQL expertise.
• Experience with Actico platform in operational or support environments.
• Analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ownership and accountability mindset.
• Solving complex problems with end-to-end perspective.
• Experience in Compliance, Regulatory, or Financial Crime domains.
• Knowledge of Wealth Management or Private Banking environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ownership of the assigned banking application, ensuring availability, stability, and performance.
• Serve as the main point of contact for operational, technical, and functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate incident management, production support activities, and upgrades.
• Conduct health checks, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
• Govern changes through risk and impact analysis and governance.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and architecture teams to deliver enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation and inventories.
• Drive application rationalization and decommissioning when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, quality standards, and security controls.
• Partner with Enterprise Architects on solution evolution and cloud migration initiatives.
• Identify technical debt and scalability challenges and address them proactively.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Architect to join our banking team and work on strategic Wealth Management platforms for a leading international financial institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of business-critical applications, ensuring operational excellence while contributing to architecture evolution, modernization initiatives, and cloud transformation programs.

• Assume end-to-end ownership of the assigned application, ensuring availability, stability, performance, and lifecycle management.


• Act as the main point of contact for operational, technical, and functional stakeholders.


• Coordinate incident management, problem resolution, application upgrades, and production support activities.


• Conduct application health checks, performance analysis, and capacity planning.


• Assess and govern application changes through risk and impact analysis.


• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and architecture teams to deliver enhancements and resolve defects.


• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and application inventories.


• Drive application rationalization and decommissioning initiatives when appropriate.


• Ensure compliance with technical requirements, quality standards, security controls, and non-functional requirements.


• Partner with Enterprise Architects to evaluate solution enhancements and future architectural evolution.


• Support target-state architecture initiatives including modularization, API strategies, observability, and cloud migration.


• Identify technical debt, scalability challenges, and technology obsolescence risks proactively.


• Promote the adoption of reusable shared services and enterprise standards.
