GE Vernova's Grid Automation unit seeks a Senior Software Architect to lead the GridBeats architecture strategy, oversee platform convergence, and drive cross-team collaboration across embedded and backend systems. • Senior-level software engineering with proven architecture leadership.
• Deep knowledge of software design principles and patterns.
• Experience with multiple languages including Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850 data model.
• Experience in large-scale distributed or embedded software systems.
• Experience defining APIs and data models across multiple systems.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and modern toolchains experience.
• Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.

Responsabilidades

• Define and maintain the long-term software architecture roadmap across the GridBeats portfolio.
• Drive the transition from multiple independent applications towards a coherent platform with shared services and interfaces.
• Define system boundaries, interface contracts, data ownership, and communication patterns between applications and embedded devices.
• Establish architecture governance processes including reviews, standards, and design guidelines.
• Drive development of shared platforms, libraries, and common services to reduce duplication and improve maintainability.
• Ensure systems are designed for reliability, scalability, maintainability, cybersecurity, and testability.
• Define migration strategies for legacy systems and support debt reduction efforts.
