Job summary

Technica Engineering Spain is seeking a Principal Senior SW Developer to join the Software Development team in Vigo, Spain. You will act as a technical reference across software teams, shaping software design, testing, and delivery while mentoring peers.

You will drive engineering excellence, promote scalable architectures, and explore AI-assisted development to boost productivity and quality in a hybrid work environment. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development, including senior engineering or technical leadership roles.
• Production-ready software systems experience with architecture, system design, patterns, and clean-code.
• Experience with modern software architectures, APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of software quality practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Experience identifying and managing technical debt, improving maintainability, and establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to influence technical decisions, collaborate across multiple teams, and mentor other developers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a pragmatic mindset, and balancing technical excellence with business priorities.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
