RigPro is seeking a Senior Service Engineer in Spain to oversee the engineering department, improve procedures, and contribute to design systems for advanced racing yachts. You will supervise engineers and trainees, plan workloads, and provide technical support for high-profile vessels.

Formación

  • Eight years in composite and mechanical design engineering, marine sector preferred.
  • University degree in Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of composite engineering, manufacturing, repair, metal tech, NDT/DT.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FEA and Multiframe.
  • Fluent or professional English.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of service engineers and trainees; mentor juniors.
  • Plan workloads for RigPro engineering resources to meet production needs.
  • Develop engineering design solutions and support the design team.
  • Provide technical support for yachts with Southern Spars equipment; supply drawings and specs.
  • Help create and improve procedures; refine engineering design systems.
  • Engage with clients to maintain satisfaction and promote upgrades.

Your Mission

Oversee the activity and operations of the RigPro engineering department, improve and create area procedures, and contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering design systems to enhance both customer experience and company profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise day-to-day activities of service engineers and trainees. Develop junior engineers by ensuring they follow a structured training program.
  • Resource Planning: Plan workloads for RigPro engineering resources to meet production requirements.
  • Design & Technical Support: Develop engineering design solutions for service projects. Assist the RigPro design team with design tasks and quality assurance.
  • Fleet Support: Provide technical support for Southern Spars Group-equipped yachts, including drawings, technical descriptions, and locating information.
  • System & Process Improvement: Help create, maintain, and enforce procedures to ensure RigPro remains the market leader. Refine Service Engineering Design systems.
  • Client Engagement: Communicate directly with clients to maintain high satisfaction and sell services or upgrades.
What we are looking for
Technical Qualifications:
  • Education: University Degree in Engineering (BEng/BSc or superior).
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in composite and mechanical design engineering. Marine industry (or similar) experience is required.
  • Core Engineering Knowledge: Basic to advanced understanding of composite engineering, composite manufacturing, composite repair, metal technology, non-destructive testing (NDT), and destructive testing (DT).
  • Software Proficiency: SolidWorks, AutoCAD (or similar), FEA (SolidWorks Simulation or similar), and Multiframe.
  • Coding Skills: Experience with VBA and Python coding.
  • Advanced Tech: Experience with additive manufacturing.
  • Problem Solving: Strong engineering problem-solving capabilities.
  • Languages: Fluent or professionally proficient in English.

  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on new issues and make sound judgements.
