Jobgether in Spain seeks a Senior Security Operations Engineer to lead and evolve a world-class security operations function. You will design and operate security tooling, monitor environments, respond to incidents, and automate security processes with a strong software engineering focus.

The role emphasizes mentoring, open source contributions, and collaboration across distributed teams within an agile framework. Remote-first culture and international collaboration are offered.

Formación

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity or software engineering.
• Experience in security operations, ideally leading a SOC.
• Strong software engineering background to design reliable security tools.
• Hands-on scripting with Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Git, GitOps, IaC and modern orchestration like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security operations including monitoring and incident response.
• Experience in high-impact security environments and threat responsiveness.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor's or equivalent in CS/STEM or related.
• Record of achievement and interest in open source security.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 is valued.
• Experience with security architecture and security tooling including Go.

Responsabilidades

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software and tooling.
• Monitor environments, identify threats, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
• Assess and strengthen security controls and posture.
• Automate security processes using software engineering and SRE principles.
• Mentor early-career Security Operations engineers.
• Plan, prioritise, and deliver security initiatives in an agile framework.
• Collaborate across teams to solve complex security challenges.
• Contribute to open source security projects and publications.
