Job summary

QAD is seeking a Senior Support Engineer, ERP to deliver expert technical support for QAD and Progress products. You will engage with customers and partners via CRM, phone, and email to address complex issues, diagnose and resolve ERP-related challenges, and ensure smooth installations, upgrades, and configurations.

Strong Progress DBA skills and Linux/SQL knowledge are required. The role is fully remote in Mexico with 24/7 coverage, shift rotations, and potential on-call duties, requiring

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant enterprise product support experience.
• Strong problem-solving and high-priority case management.
• Proficiency in debugging Unix, Windows, network environments.
• Programming knowledge in C, C++, Unix scripting, Progress for issue resolution.
• Experience with Progress DBA tasks: backups, optimization, performance monitoring.
• Strong Linux skills and basic SQL knowledge.
• Experience with QAD product installation, configuration, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on QAD and Progress databases.
• Ensure installations, upgrades, and configurations of QAD products are successful.
• Perform Progress DBA tasks including backups, restores and optimization.
• Create and maintain detailed issue/resolution documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to develop effective solutions.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations including weekends and on-call coverage.
