Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior ML Engineer for Recommender Systems in Spain, with remote work options. You will lead the evolution of the Interactive Learning plugin, building and operating real-time recommendation models, and partnering with software engineers and data analysts to productionize improvements.

The role emphasizes owning model training, serving, and evaluating recommendations, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous needs into measurable product

Formación

• Experience in building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, or next-best-action systems.
• Strong product thinker and technical communicator with ability to translate ambiguous needs into measurable product decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to own, validate, monitor, and iterate models in a production environment.
• Experience with distributed systems and modern software development practices.

Responsabilidades

• Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin’s recommendation system.
• Develop personalized approaches to candidate selection, ranking, sequencing, and next-best-action recommendations.
• Own a real-time recommendation service.
• Build and operate applied models.
• Develop, validate, version, monitor, and iterate on models used by the recommendation system.
• Own model training & serving.
• Define what recommendation quality means.
• Develop offline, online, and longitudinal measures of recommendation performance.
• Own feature pipelines, monitoring of the model and architecture.
• Ship incremental improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and data analysts to productionize models safely.
• Partner with Product Analytics on metric definitions, instrumentation, and dashboards.
• Translate needs into testable hypotheses and measurable product decisions.
• Explain modeling choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
