Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will work with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade solutions.

The role requires 4+ years of backend Python experience, strong knowledge of Python core concepts, and expertise in APIs, microservices, and databases (PostgreSQL/ORMs). Flexible working options include remote and office time.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend software development with Python.
• Strong knowledge of Python core concepts (OOP, FP, memory management, async).
• Experience building production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• Proficient with relational DBs and ORMs, esp. PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Write clean, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code with modern Python practices.
• Containerize applications with Docker and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Design schema models, write optimized SQL and work with ORMs (SQLAlchemy) with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services ensuring low latency, high availability, and security.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
