AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You’ll work closely with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade software.

The role requires 4+ years of Python backend experience, strong knowledge of Python core concepts, and experience with PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks. Flexible mix of remote and on-site work is offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend development with Python.
• Deep understanding of Python core concepts (OOP, functional programming, memory management, async/concurrency, data structures).
• Proven track record building production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Commitment to unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Pytest).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Write clean, tested code and perform peer code reviews.
• Containerize applications with Docker and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Design database schemas and write efficient SQL; work with ORMs (SQLAlchemy) and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs while ensuring low latency, high availability, and security.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
