AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs, collaborating with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams. The role emphasizes production-grade APIs, distributed architectures, and test-driven development.

You will work with Python core concepts, relational databases, and modern frameworks (FastAPI/Django/Flask), while embracing a flexible mix of remote and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python core concepts (OOP, functional programming, memory management, async, data structures).
• Production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Pytest.
• Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, branches, code reviews).

Responsabilités

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs in Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
• Write clean, well-tested Python code; conduct peer reviews and promote modern practices.
• Containerize apps with Docker and automate CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Design schemas, optimize SQL queries, and use ORMs (SQLAlchemy) with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs while ensuring high availability and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams.
