Job summary

Arkadia Space in Castellón, Spain, is seeking a Senior Process - Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, build and commissioning of test benches for rocket engine firing, tanks, and altitude testing. You will develop P&IDs, size benches, and coordinate with development and automation teams, ensuring hardware feasibility and safe operations.

Qualifications

• BSc in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 3 years of experience in process engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of pressurized fluid systems and pressure vessels.
• Hands-on experience working with hardware.
• Advanced English and Advanced Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and commission test benches for rocket engine firing, tanks and components pressure testing, and altitude simulation facilities.
• Create and maintain P&ID of fluid installations and preliminary sizing of test benches.
• Detailed design and analysis of structural components, supporting frames and thrust stands.
• Coordinate with development and automation teams to define requirements and integrate acquisition/commanding systems.
• Assemble, integrate, commission and test benches with support from the testing team; generate design justification and manuals.
