Job summary

Sateliot, a Barcelona-based satellite company, is hiring a Senior Mechanical & Structural Engineer to own the platform's mechanics end to end, from design through flight. You will oversee structural analysis, tests, and the next platform generations, collaborating with the AIT team and suppliers in a hybrid Barcelona-based role.

You will lead the mechanical design of the platform, ensure analysis integrity, and support launcher integration, with English proficiency and willingness to travel for

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical and structural engineering on spacecraft hardware.
• At least one satellite platform delivered end to end: design, analysis, manufacturing, AIT and launch.
• Hands-on mechanical design in CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent), including drawings and mechanical ICDs, on flight hardware.
• Hands-on structural analysis of spacecraft structures with an FEM tool, covering static, modal and random vibration.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of the satellite platform end to end: architecture, mechanical ICDs, drawings, configuration control.
• Own the platform's structural analysis: define the analysis plan, review and disposition results, run analyses when needed, and build Sateliot's in-house analysis capability (models, tools and processes).
• Own the mechanical verification of the platform: define test requirements, specify the vibration campaign, co-author procedures with the AIT team, supervise execution, and deliver post-test engineering results.
• Take the structure from design to flight hardware: follow manufacturing and sourcing of structural components, support platform assembly and launcher integration with engineering judgement with AIT.
• Lead the mechanical design of the next platform generations.
