Job summary

BMC Software is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex customer engagements focused on Mainframe and Control-M modernization and SaaS migrations.

This role serves as the primary delivery leader, partnering with executive sponsors, technical stakeholders, consultants, architects, and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and customers achieve their desired business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project or program management experience delivering enterprise software, infrastructure, automation, or modernization projects.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification required or preferred.
• Experience leading Mainframe modernization or Control‑M SaaS migration programs.
• Experience delivering Professional Services projects within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, or Public Sector organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Mainframe and Control‑M modernization and Saas migrations projects.
• Act as the primary customer‑facing project leader, providing governance and stakeholder management at executive, business, and technical levels.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, communication plans, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success Management, Support, Product Management, Engineering, and customer organizations.
• Drive governance through status reporting, steering committees, risk reviews, and executive briefings.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Manage customer expectations regarding scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate deployment readiness, testing, knowledge transfer, and transition-to-support activities.
• Track project financial performance, forecasts, change requests, and resource utilization.
• Drive customer satisfaction and realization of business value throughout engagement lifecycle.
• Promote delivery excellence and best practices within Professional Services.
