UST España & Latam is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Lead Engineer for a strategic wealth management project in Madrid. The role requires autonomy to own the IT service, drive Oracle migration from 17 to 19c, and ensure end-to-end operation with high reliability.

The ideal candidate will have extensive PL/SQL development, complex SQL scripting, and experience with enterprise messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ in high‑volume environments. English is mandatory.

Formación

• Senior-level experience with Oracle PL/SQL on Oracle Database 19c.
• Experience in upgrade, modernization, or migration projects (17 to 19c).
• Expertise in PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• Experience with enterprise messaging technologies (Kafka and/or IBM MQ).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and financial markets is a plus.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Lead Engineer with a strong background in the banking industry. This role requires a highly autonomous professional who can take ownership, proactively solve complex challenges, and operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You will join a strategic project with a global client in the wealth management sector, taking on a combined role as IT Service Owner and senior technical contributor, ensuring the end-to-end operation, evolution, and reliability of the IT service.

Location

Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.

Language

English is a must. Spanish desirable.

Required Experience

• Senior-level experience with Oracle PL/SQL on Oracle Database 19c, including participation in Oracle upgrade, modernization, or migration projects. The current initiative involves a strategic migration from Oracle Database 17 to Oracle Database 19c, making hands‑on experience with Oracle 19c essential. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in compatibility assessments, PL/SQL code optimization, performance tuning, and support throughout database upgrade processes.

Strong experience in:

• Development and maintenance of PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Designing and developing complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Building, maintaining, and enhancing system integration interfaces.
• Mandatory experience with enterprise messaging technologies, particularly Kafka and/or IBM MQ, within high‑volume, mission‑critical integration environments.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
• Understanding of investment products and financial instruments.
• Experience within financial markets or capital markets environments.

Business Hours. No intensive working days for friday or summer.
