Job summary

Ikigai Talent Group is seeking an experienced Senior NPI Program Manager to oversee the readiness of complex electronic hardware products as they move from development to volume production in Barcelona. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams, aligning stakeholders and managing risks across the product lifecycle.

In this hybrid role, you will drive stage-gate reviews (EVT, DVT, PVT), maintain integrated schedules, and deliver executive dashboards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology, with 5+ in NPI or cross-functional roles.
• Proven industrialization and production launch experience for electronic hardware.
• Strong electronics manufacturing, supply chain and system integration knowledge.
• Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT and stage-gate methodologies.
• Master's degree and proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira; fluent English.
• Nice to have PMP/Prince2, MBA, Spanish fluency, international supplier coordination.
• Salary: Open salary depending on experience.
• Hybrid: 4 days at office in Barcelona, 1 day remote; 1 week remote per year.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior NPI Program Manager to oversee the operational readiness of complex electronic hardware products throughout their introduction to market. You will coordinate multiple technical and operational functions, ensuring alignment between development, manufacturing, supply chain and business stakeholders. This cross-functional role focuses on improving execution, anticipating risks and ensuring a structured transition from product development to volume production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated NPI schedules, critical paths and dependencies across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality teams.
• Coordinate manufacturing readiness, including electronic components, PCA assembly, system integration, production ramp-up and logistics.
• Organize and facilitate stage-gate reviews covering EVT, DVT, PVT and production release milestones.
• Monitor cross-functional risks, scheduling conflicts and operational bottlenecks, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up.
• Prepare consolidated readiness reports and executive dashboards to support operational decision-making.
• Optimize NPI processes, RACI matrices, planning methodologies and cross-functional coordination practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 5 years in New Product Introduction, operations program management or similar cross-functional roles.
• Proven experience managing the industrialization and production launch of complex electronic hardware systems.
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing, component supply chains, PCA fabrication and assembly, system integration, testing and after-sales operations.
• Solid knowledge of NPI stage-gate methodologies, including EVT, DVT and PVT, combined with integrated planning, dependency management and risk assessment skills.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira or equivalent tools, and fluent English are required.
• Valuable: Experience coordinating international suppliers and manufacturing partners, NPI process improvement, PMP or Prince2 certification, MBA training and fluent Spanish.
