Job summary

GE Vernova Wind Global Machine Head Driveline team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own the full design lifecycle for rotor brakes, locks, and couplings across the wind turbine fleet. You will drive design, analysis, validation, and standardization from concept through production release.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and field teams to ensure high reliability and manufacturability while delivering cost improvements and technology advancements for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Major experience in mechanical design and analysis in an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of technical drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools — Siemens NX.
• Proven ability to lead global projects with teams across geographies.
• Clear communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead component design and development for rotor brakes, locks, and couplings.
• Own design quality and documentation standards across drawings and BoMs.
• Develop and execute validation plans to prove function and reliability.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, sourcing, and field teams to improve product quality and yield.
• Identify and implement cost and technology improvements for driveline components.
