Job description

Job Ref ID: JR0084308

Glovo is part of the Delivery Hero Group, the world’s pioneering local delivery platform, our mission is to deliver an amazing experience—fast, easy, and to your door. We operate in around 65 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index.

Job Description

As an in‑house lawyer here, the bare minimum expectation is that you will be drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. But what we really care about is the impact of that work. When you draft an agreement, you aren't just pushing paper—you are unlocking a new strategic partnership, enabling a new feature on the App, or closing a deal that directly drives revenue. Your legal work literally translates into business milestones you can see on the streets and in the App.

We are looking for a business enabler. The right candidate is someone who enjoys being embedded in the commercial team, understands the internal services dynamic, and can provide quick, actionable, and pragmatic legal advice. If you thrive in a fast-paced, international environment where you are a strategic partner to the business, you will succeed here.

Qualifications
  • Solid background: You have a Degree in Law. A Master’s degree (e.g., Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía, LLM, or a specialized corporate/commercial master's) and admission to the Spanish Bar are highly valued
  • Relevant experience: You bring 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained through a mix of a top-tier law firm and an in-house legal department within a fast-paced, high-growth, or tech environment.
  • Language fluency: Bilingual or highly proficient professional level in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory, as you will draft and negotiate complex legal documents in both languages. Any other language is more than welcome!
Technical Capabilities
  • Contractual expertise: You have a proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume and wide variety of commercial agreements (e.g., partnerships, marketing, IT, procurement, and suppliers).
  • You have experience drafting and updating Terms & Conditions for B2B and B2C models. Previous exposure to digital platforms, e-commerce, or tech sector is a significant plus.
  • Broad legal knowledge: You possess a strong foundation in commercial and corporate law, with the versatility to navigate overlapping regulatory, IP, and platform issues.
  • Knowledge: Possesses deep expertise in commercial law and a strong understanding of the broader organization, business model, and industry landscape.
  • Scope: Performs a wide range of complex activities across multiple areas (e.g., handling cross-border agreements between Spain and HQ).
  • Autonomy: Operates with high independence and autonomy. Not only proposes improvements but actively leads the implementation of new processes and legal frameworks.
  • Problem-solving: Solves complex, ambiguous problems where guidelines may be unclear or non-existent, balancing legal risk with commercial business objectives.
  • Impact: Leads cross-functional projects and initiatives (like the T&Cs overhaul) that directly impact broader company goals and multiple business units.
Mindset & Approach
  • High Autonomy & Judgment: You are a self-starter who can act as a reliable "go-to" person. You know how to prioritize tasks, resolve day-to-day issues independently, and apply sound, risk-balanced judgment.
  • Strong Business Acumen: You don't just point out legal risks; you offer practical, business-oriented solutions that align with the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Team Player: You excel at stakeholder management and have a proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with non-legal teams across a diverse, multicultural organization.
  • Growth Mindset: You are eager to learn, adapt quickly, and actively step up to take ownership of specific projects and sub-verticals.
  • Individuals representing diverse profiles, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas. Even if it seems you don't meet our musts don't let it stop you, we are all about finding the best talent out there! Skills can be learned, and embracing diversity is invaluable.
We Believe Driven Talent Deserves
  • An enticing equity plan that lets you own a piece of the action.
  • Top‑notch private health insurance to keep you at your peak.
  • Monthly Glovo credit to satisfy your cravings.
  • Cobee discounts on transportation, food, and even kindergarten expenses.
  • Discounted gym memberships to keep you energized.
  • Extra time off, the freedom to work from home two days a week, and the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to three weeks a year!
  • Enhanced parental leave, and office‑based nursery.
  • Online therapy and wellbeing benefits to ensure your mental well‑being.
