Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking a Project Technical Engineering Senior Professional to join the HVDC System Performance team in Madrid.

You will lead technical studies, guide engineering decisions and support multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle. You will drive power system studies and control strategy decisions for complex HVDC projects, collaborate with international teams, mentor engineers, participate in customer discussions, tests and commissioning, and

Formación

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Engineering Physics or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in power system studies, HVDC, FACTS, grid integration or similar complex electrical engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, ETAP or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work independently, lead technical activities and manage complex engineering challenges.
• Fluent English is required; Spanish is highly valued and Swedish would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Lead power system studies and dynamic simulations for HVDC projects.
• Drive technical decisions related to control strategies and system performance during project execution.
• Act as a technical reference within project teams and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Participate in customer discussions, technical reviews, factory tests and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with international teams to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective project delivery.
