Job summary

Thales Alenia Space in Madrid Tres Cantos is seeking a Senior High Speed Digital Engineer to design and validate digital electronics for on-board units, using FPGAs and microprocessors, with emphasis on high-speed links and signal integrity.

You will capture schematics, run Mentor xDesigner/LTspice/ADS simulations, participate in design reviews and validation campaigns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid Madrid environment.

Qualifications

Engineering Master in Electronics with strong digital design background.
Minimum 6 years in digital electronics design for space or aerospace.
Experience with FPGAs, memory interfaces and high-speed links.
Knowledge of space standards (ECSS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Understand requirements and define digital hardware solutions.
Design digital electronics for on-board units using FPGAs and microprocessors.
Prepare design documentation and schemes; capture schematics in Mentor xDesigner.
Perform analog/digital simulations and signal integrity analyses.
Review layouts and PCB routing; develop board-level tests procedures.
Support validation campaigns and internal/customer design reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to agile processes.
