Job summary

Indra Space, the space division of Indra Group, seeks a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer in Madrid to design, implement, and validate FPGA/SoC-based boards for high-performance missions. You will handle power delivery, clocking, and high-speed interfaces while ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and robust reliability.

The role requires collaboration across disciplines, experience with VME/OpenVPX, and proficiency with tools like Mentor Xpedition and HyperLynx.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of digital hardware engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of FPGA/SoC/microcontroller‑based board design.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, JESD).
• EMI/EMC protection expertise.
• Experience with VME or OpenVPX architectures.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools (Matlab, LTSpice).

Responsibilities

• Design digital hardware boards based on FPGA, SoC, and microcontrollers, including power delivery, clock networks, and interfaces.
• Develop high‑speed digital designs with proper layout for DDR, Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe, and JESD.
• Integrate and validate high‑speed ADCs/DACs.
• Define and implement EMI/EMC protection strategies.
• Work with VME and OpenVPX architectures.
• Use tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation, and SI/PI analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements.
