Thales in Tres Cantos, Madrid, is seeking an experienced Digital Hardware Engineer to design and lead FPGA-based telecom satellite boards. You will develop architectures, work with high-speed interfaces, and collaborate with international teams across Europe to deliver space-grade electronics.

Join a space-focused team delivering hardware that flies in orbit for many years. The role offers a hybrid work model with remote work options and ongoing training in digital electronics and FPGA

Competenze

• 5+ years in digital electronic design.
• FPGA and/or processor-based designs.
• High-speed digital electronics (1GB+ Ethernet, PCIe, SpaceFibre, Aurora, WizardLink, etc.).
• Board development lifecycle.

Mansioni

• Define digital architectures for next-generation satellites.
• Design complex boards based on FPGAs, microprocessors and high-speed interfaces.
• Develop solutions with DDR memories, SpaceWire, high-speed serial links and advanced processing.
• Work with Kintex UltraScale, PolarFire, RTG4 FPGAs and SpaceWire interfaces.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses.
• Lead technical decisions through the product lifecycle from concept to qualification.
