Percona is hiring for the MongoDB Tools Team to work primarily on Percona ClusterSync for MongoDB and PBM. This remote role sits within the MongoDB Tools Team (Tech & Engineering) and offers real influence in shaping PCSM while collaborating with PBM across a distributed, open-source stack.

The role emphasizes Go-based replication engines, change streams, and sharded clusters, plus robust CLI and HTTP APIs.

Formación

• Strong Go experience in production and concurrency.
• Solid grounding in distributed systems and data consistency.
• Hands-on MongoDB knowledge: change streams, oplog, replica sets, sharding.
• Comfort building and operating CLI tools and HTTP APIs with metrics.
• Experience writing tests and working in open source communities.
• Experience with Git and code review workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Own core replication engine development for PCSM.
• Ensure correctness and fault tolerance at scale across clusters.
• Support sharded cluster replication and namespace filtering.
• Improve performance, memory usage, and backpressure handling.
• Develop and observe a CLI and HTTP API for sync operations.
• Collaborate across PCSM and PBM, with open source practices.
