Percona is seeking a remote software engineer to contribute to the MongoDB Tools Team, focusing on PCSM, with secondary work on PBM. You will tackle core replication, change streams, and distributed consistency in large production clusters, while collaborating openly on Git and PR processes.

You will work across open source tooling, backups, and real-time delta changes, with a strong emphasis on tests, CI, and security scanning. This role is fully remote with global collaboration.

Formación

• Strong Go experience in production, with fluency in concurrency primitives.
• Solid grounding in distributed systems and data consistency concepts.
• Hands-on MongoDB knowledge: change streams, oplog, replica sets, sharding.
• Comfort building and operating CLI tools and HTTP APIs; instrument with metrics/logs.
• Experience with open source workflows: Git and pull requests, clear written communication.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and evolve the core replication engine across PCSM with robust resume and ordering logic.
• Ensure fault-tolerance and scale across large, shard-based deployments.
• Support sharded clusters, including topology changes, migrations, and balance events.
• Implement namespace filtering and index management with DDL/TTL edge cases.
• Improve performance, throughput, and resource usage through efficient parallelization.
