Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company seeks an AI Architect to lead GenAI architecture across the enterprise in Madrid. You will define end-to-end architectures, establish standards, and collaborate with product, security, privacy, legal, and cloud engineering teams in regulated environments.

You will architect LLM-based solutions, RAG patterns, and agentic workflows, guiding teams on prompt management, model access, and governance while driving innovation and responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required; 10+ years in large-scale software/AI systems.
• 5+ years in AI, NLP, or Generative AI.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (healthcare, finance, insurance, global enterprises).
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end GenAI architectures and reference patterns.
• Translate business needs into robust AI solution designs.
• Advise leadership on AI strategy and adoption.
• Architect knowledge bases, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Guide prompt management, grounding, and evaluation.
• Evaluate commercial LLMs and SaaS AI platforms.
