CETRA BASE in Madrid is seeking a Senior Galileo Systems Engineer to support Europe’s flagship space programme with Galileo service transition activities for EUSPA.

The role involves coordinating service definition, design, migration and validation campaigns across an international team, with travel within Europe and a strong emphasis on security clearance and English proficiency.

Formación

• University degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or computer science.
• 5+ years of experience in Galileo or other space projects.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Eligible for security clearance and able to travel within Europe.

Responsabilidades

• Support transition of Galileo services (EWSS, HAS, SAR, Timing Service, SoL, OSNMA, etc.).
• Coordinate migration and service validation campaigns, including plan, reports and reviews.
• Support reviews programmatic reviews (MRR, OVR, SCR, SVRR, SVR, TRR, TRB, PTR).

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Galileo Systems Engineer to join Europe's flagship space programme, supporting EUSPA with Galileo service transition activities

Position is based in Madrid.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The candidate will support the transition of new Galileo services such as:

• Emergency Warning Satellite Service (EWSS)
• European GSC infrastructure
• High-Accuracy Service (HAS)
• Search and Rescue (SAR)
• Timing Service
• Transversal European GNSS
• OSNMA
• Galileo Contribution to Safety of Life (SoL) Applications
• Etc.

Service transition activities encompass:

• Support Mission definition, Mission consolidation, Service concept preparation, Service design, Service consolidation and service validation activities, and their associated reviews programmatic reviews (MRR, OVR, SCR, SVRR, SVR, TRR, TRB, PTR etc.)
• Support the conception, preparation, coordination and execution of infrastructure Migration and service migration activities including Plan preparation, Migration rehearsals and testing, preparation and presentation of report, organisation of reviews, amongst other elements.
• Support the conception, preparation, coordination and execution of Service Validation campaigns including Plan preparation, preparation and presentation of reports and organisation of reviews.

Essential qualifications and experience

• University degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in Galileo or other space projects
• Excellent team worker
• Ability to work in a multicultural team
• Proficiency level in English, both written and spoken
• Eligible for security clearance
• Availability to travel within Europe

Security

In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.

This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
