Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient seeks a Senior Financial Controller to enhance financial performance for its Spanish entity. You will partner with local management, drive forecasting, budgeting, and analytics, and lead improvements in reporting and cash flow management.

Ideal candidates bring 6–10 years in FP&A/controlling, advanced Excel, familiarity with Power BI and SAP, and strong communication skills in English. This role is based in Sant Joan Despí, Catalonia, with a focus on cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering.
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI and SAP is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to local management.
• Drive performance improvement initiatives and support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and improve working capital performance and cash flow drivers.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations and other functions to identify and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare financial and operational reports for local management and HQ, including variance analysis and recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs, identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and business planning activities.
• Enhance reporting efficiency through automation and analytics tools.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and financial performance.
• Support financial governance of projects, budgets and profitability analyses.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and simplification of finance processes.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects impacting business performance.
