Michael Page partners with a multinational healthcare group to recruit a Senior Finance Manager for Madrid with a three-country remit (Spain, Portugal, Italy). The role requires hands-on leadership, strong financial discipline and the ability to operate in a matrix organisation.

The candidate will drive budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and month-end close, while ensuring robust controls and timely reporting. Hybrid work with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years in Finance, with at least 3-5 years as Finance Director/Finance Manager in a multinational subsidiary.
• Experience in a sales/product-focused environment in healthcare, FMCG or similar.
• Multinational multi-country experience is a plus.
• Very high English level is mandatory; Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Finance strategy and business partnering across three countries (Spain, Portugal and Italy).
• Finance, Accounting & Statutory: month-end close, internal controls, taxes, statutory reporting, and coordination with the Centre of Excellence.
• Financial budgeting, forecasting and planning including P&L and cash flow.
• Coordinate supply chain finance activities and monitor market sales performance.
• Projects and improvements: support HQ/Corporate Finance and drive continuous improvements.
• Compliance, integrity and risk: adherence to guidelines, processes and systems; monitor ICS.
• Team management: lead and develop regional finance team and align objectives.

Multinational healthcare company is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to manage 3 countries (Spain, Portugal and Italy), for its Madrid offices (Moncloa area). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3-5 years working as Finance Director/ Finance Manager in a medium-sized subsidiary of a multinational group (working within a matrix structure). Experience in a sales company that sells products (not services), healthcare, FMCG, or similar, is a must. Multi-country experience will be a plus. SAP is a plus. Very high English level is a must. High Italian level is a plus. Hands-on and multitask profile. Ability to serve as a solid Business Partner for General Manager. Workplace type: Hybrid. Availability to travel occasionally. Availability to start immediately.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities for 3 countries (Spain, Portugal and Italy):

• Finance strategy and business partnering: Advise and challenge business with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, financial impacts and risks. Inform timely on any unexpected issue impacting potentially the financial performance of the Country and Area. Propose/implement corrective actions. Identify areas of improvement in business and organization and propose implementation plan. Monitor key ratios. Keep robust information system environment on key data, leveraging on company tools.
• Finance, Accounting & Statutory: Senior Finance Manager is accountable for the month end closure reporting in coordination with their Finance Centre of Excellence. Perform Internal Controls. Review and approve taxes, monitor compliance and manage tax queries. Perform statutory reporting by ensuring accounting records and reports are accurate, duly approved and comply with the Statutory Accounting Principles, in close collaboration with local specialized providers. Keep fluent communication with the Centre of Excellence, reviewing performance and proposing corrective actions if required.
• Financial budgeting, forecasting and planning: Set and contribute to achieving financial goals and targets, manage the forecast P&L and cash flow, perform budget and forecast process, carry out the development of budget policies and procedures.
• Coordinate supply chain activities, both inbound and outbound, alerting on deviations and proposing corrective measures. Follow up and control in market sales performance.
• Projects and improvements: Support HQ/Corporate Finance in the implementation of corporate Finance programs, processes or procedures which are to be locally applied and also drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compliance, integrity and risk: Strict implementation and adherence to internal guidelines, instructions, processes and systems, fiscal and finance regulations, local as well as global. Inform relevant parties timely on potential issues, assess the risks and propose corrective measures. Monitor ICS process and act as Compliance advisor on ethic related.
• Team management: carry out the selection, the motivation and ensure optimal training of financial team. Translate business objectives into team's Finance objectives and manage performance.

• Salary package: Around 75.000 - 85.000 euros fixed salary + bonus.
