Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering in Madrid to lead a 6–10 engineer team and drive scalable B2B solutions. You’ll own multiple domains, partner with product teams, and ensure reliable, efficient software powering partners globally.

You will mentor engineers and managers, shape roadmaps, and advocate for design excellence, testing, and resiliency while coordinating across distributed teams and senior stakeholders.

Formación

• Degree in CS or Engineering with 8+ years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s with 6+ years, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of people management experience, including performance management and recruiting.
• Proficiency across multiple programming languages or technologies with rationale for choices.
• Experience managing distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
• Capable of delivering solutions spanning multiple teams.
• Strong communication with senior‑level and cross‑functional partners.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a team of 6–10 engineers and foster collaboration and growth.
• Define team goals aligned to broader business outcomes across multiple teams.
• Partner with product management to influence roadmaps and balance work.
• Resolve bottlenecks in cross‑team workflows and define success metrics.
• Advocate for design, operations, resiliency, and testing best practices.
• Evaluate frameworks, cloud services, and architectural patterns per standards.
• Bridge communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Assess talent, identify gaps, and support development plans.
• Develop capacity plans for teams of 10+ and balance FTE vs contingent workers.
• Mentor individual contributors and managers to share domain knowledge.
