Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Energy Storage Advisory team in Europe, driving technical and commercial due diligence across energy storage and hybrid portfolios. You’ll integrate engineering, financial, and environmental input, engage with lenders and developers, and mentor junior staff. Travel <10% and contribute to thought leadership.

The role supports project financing, acquisitions and sales with strong analytics and communication skills in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years in renewable energy, energy storage, or related industries.
Experience reviewing contracts and financial models for energy projects.
Strong project finance understanding and bankability considerations.
Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing delivery.
English required; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead technical due diligence reviews for energy storage and solar+storage projects.
Review EPC, BSA, interconnection, PPA, O&M, LTSA and major supply contracts.
Analyze CAPEX, OPEX, warranties, performance assumptions and key financial drivers.
Evaluate energy use cases, operating profiles and dispatch strategies.
Prepare TDD reports with findings, conclusions and recommendations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coherent final deliverables.
Engage with clients, lenders, developers; present results and respond to comments.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal tool improvements.
Travel up to 10% for conferences and meetings.
