Oyster is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to advise on multi‑jurisdictional employment law and shape the future of global distributed work. You’ll support internal teams and external stakeholders, manage templates and policies, and collaborate with outside counsel to ensure scalable compliance worldwide.

You’ll translate complex legal issues into practical guidance for HR and business partners, helping Oyster expand while balancing risk and operational needs.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably with law firm and in‑house practice.
• Hands-on experience drafting and reviewing contracts, managing templates and policies, and advising across employment matters.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain employment templates, policies, and processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor global legislative developments and implement required changes.
• Collaborate with Product, People, and other teams to design compliant employment solutions.
• Advise on employment law across the employee lifecycle: hiring, compensation, leave, performance, and terminations.
• Support Direct Expansion and migrations from indirect to direct employment models.
• Translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance for non-legal audiences.
• Develop and maintain employment guides and compliance documentation for scalable operations.
• Assist with labor inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Identify risks and drive process improvements using data and stakeholder feedback.
• Champion AI, automation, and innovative processes to scale legal support.
