Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Counsel, Offboarding & Litigation based in Spain to lead complex employment offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation across EMEA. You will ensure compliance with local labor laws and provide practical legal guidance on sensitive employee matters.

Qualifications

• Requires law degree (JD/LLB) and active admission to Bar in applicable EMEA jurisdiction.
• 6–10 years of post-qualification experience in employment law within EMEA.
• Proven employment litigation track record and experience drafting submissions.
• Strong knowledge of EMEA employment law including termination procedures and due process.
• Familiarity with offboarding requirements across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Experience managing external counsel and negotiating fees.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across EMEA.
• Manage disciplinary processes, filings, and employment disputes in each jurisdiction.
• Conduct case intake, fact-finding, and risk assessments for employee matters.
• Lead or support hearings, conciliation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
• Draft and review termination notices, separation agreements, and evidence.
• Evaluate litigation exposure and settlement costs, with updates to stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for external counsel and oversee case scopes and timelines.
• Collaborate with HR, Product, Sales, Payroll, Onboarding, and Legal teams to strengthen offboarding frameworks.
• Partner with product teams to ensure compliance in offboarding workflows.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
