Job summary

OnHires partners with an established fintech at the intersection of crypto and payments to recruit a senior EMI accounting professional. You will own the books of four fiat entities—two EU/UK EMIs and two fiat entities in the US and Canada—from setup through steady state.

You will build EMI accounting from scratch for new licences, manage safeguarding, client-money reconciliations, and inputs for own funds and capital adequacy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on EMI accounting for EU/UK entities including regulatory returns.
• Own-funds or capital-adequacy inputs for EMI entities.
• 5+ years in-house accounting with GL ownership and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Entity accounting for four fiat entities in Xero (multi-currency).
• New entity set-up: COA, bank mapping, close and tax calendars.
• EMI accounting and reporting, safeguarding, client-money reconciliations.
• Month-end close including intercompany, accruals, prepayments and FX.
• Intercompany reconciliation and transfer pricing support.
• Statutory and tax compliance across EU/UK, US, Canada.
• Invoice control and audit/group reporting support.
• Monthly management accounts and close procedures.
